Highway32 “H1200”.

MGf Sports Car,

hard top version.

An updated version of this 1:32 slot car kit might be available 2006 ?.

The model has optional civilian or racing drivers.

The model was initially

developed by us with permission from our friends at MG Rover Mini.

A few years later M.G. cars [then part of the BMW group] asked us to provide a number of these cars as part of the press entertainment to coincide with the launch of the “facelift” 1999 MGf.

Our models featured in a slot racing event for the motoring press in the Summer of 1999 as part of the promotion and press launch of the facelift MGf 2000 During 9 of the 10 days, an informal evening MGf championship was run (on a four lane race track) for the press attending that day. The track and cars was supplied by us !

Sixty Highway32 MGf models were painted in the correct

Platinum Silver

British Racing Green

Tahiti Blue

and Nightfire Red

by M.G in the Rover – M.G. press garage paint shop at Gaydon.

This was quite a nice thing for us and we managed to save a few of the cars that were painted by M.G. cars for collectors to treasure !

Two images of the event (held in an Hotel in Surrey, England) are shown opposite.
