Additional 1998 F1 racing car releases.
The following ten additional releases were released in 1999.
As is usual with Minichamps, some drivers' cars sold out quickly, and are now
hard to find.
They are the cars which raced in the early part of 1998 with additional sidepod
aerofoils,
called "Tower Wings" by Minichamps.
The Jordan and Sauber teams raced with double support struts,
while the Ferrari, Tyrrell and Prost teams raced with single struts.
Unusually in one race (Italy) the Prost team elected to race with only one
‘tower wing’
(left looking forward from the driver’s cockpit !).
However the Prost cars that were produced were fitted with two TWs !
